WQXR presents Anna Netrebko in Verismo now available for on-demand streaming
Anna Netrebko’s exclusive interview and performance to celebrate the release of her new solo recording, Verismo, is now available for on-demand streaming on WQXR.org.
Held on September 21 at The Greene Space and hosted by WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon, the sold-out event marked Anna’s first joint New York City performance with her husband, Yusif Eyvazov, accompanied by Brian Zeger, artistic director of Juilliard’s Marcus Institute, on piano.
Anna sings “Tu che di gel sei cinta” from Puccini’s Turandot, and Yusif also visits the work with “Non piangere, Liù.” The couple then joins forces for the final scene from the same composer’s Manon Lescaut.
