ECHO Klassik Awards broadcast October 9

Anna Netrebko will perform and present at the 2016 ECHO Klassik Awards at the Berlin Konzerthaus this Sunday, October 9.

Adding her eleventh ECHO trophy to her mantle, Anna will also be named Female Singer of the Year for her performance as Lady Macbeth in Verdi’s Macbeth, recorded live at the Metropolitan Opera and released on DVD and Blu-ray by Deutsche Grammophon in 2015.

Anna joins a lineup of fellow artists including Olga Peretyatko, Philippe Jaroussky, and German Brass for the ceremonies’ performance portion, which will also hear the talents of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin conducted by Diego Matheuz.

Hosted by Thomas Gottschalk, the 2016 ECHO Klassik Awards will be broadcast on German Public TV channel ZDF at 22:00 local time on October 9. Click here for more details.
