Anna Netrebko returns to Met Opera production of Eugene Onegin
Following her triumphant return to the role of Violetta in La traviata at Teatro alla Scala, Anna Netrebko revisits the role of Tatiana Larina in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin at the Metropolitan Opera.
Starring in the Deborah Warner production in which she made her house-role debut in 2013, the star soprano reunites with the production’s original Onegin, Mariusz Kwiecien. Kwiecien sings the title role on March 30 and April 3 and 7, with another noted Onegin, Peter Mattei, stepping in on April 12, 15, 18, and 22.
Rounding out the cast are Alexey Dolgov as Lensky and Elena Maximova as Olga. Robin Ticciati conducts all performances, including April 22’s Live in HD transmission. Click here for more information.
