Metropolitan Opera 2018-19 Season Announced

Anna returns to the Metropolitan Opera in 18-19 with two North American roles debuts.

After a breakout success at the 2017 Salzburg Festival, Anna will headline her first Met production of Aida. Under the baton of Nicola Luisotti, the cast lineup includes Anita Rachvelishvili as Amneris and Aleksandrs Antonenko as Radamès. The Verdi masterwork opens on September 26 and will run through October 11. More details here.

To ring in 2019, Anna will sing the title role in Sir David McVicar’s new production of Adriana Lecouvreur at the Met’s New Year’s Eve Gala. With previous portrayals at the Mariinsky II in St. Petersburg and Vienna Staatsoper, Anna brings the new role to New York audiences opposite her longtime colleague and friend, tenor Piotr Beczala.
