OPERA
Sep 26 – Oct 11; Dec 31 -Jan 19: Anna Netrebko makes two house title role debuts at the Metropolitan Opera this season. Under Nicola Luisotti’s leadership, she headlines Aida, a role she first sang at the 2017 Salzburg Festival. Then, under Gianandrea Noseda, she reprises the portrayal of Adriana Lecouvreur with which she recently drew raves in St. Petersburg and Vienna. Sir David McVicar’s production of the Cilea tragedy makes its Met premiere at the company’s annual New Year’s Eve gala, and the January 12 performance will be transmitted “Live in HD” to cinemas worldwide.

March 21 – April 5: Anna returns to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for her role debut as Leonora in Verdi’s La forza del destino. She is joined by Jonas Kaufmann and Christopher Maltman under the baton of Antonio Pappano in Christof Loy’s new production, which is scheduled to air worldwide in the company’s “Cinema Live” series on April 2.

May 20 – 31: This spring, Anna will sing the role of Maddalena di Coigny in Giordano’s Andrea Chénier at the Vienna State Opera. Marco Armiliato conducts the production with Yusif Eyvazov in the title role and Marco Vratogna as Carlo Gérard.

June 29 – July 7: Anna makes her Arena di Verona debut in three performances of the Zeffirelli production of Verdi’s Il Trovatore. Singing Leonora, she will star opposite her husband, tenor Yusif Eyvazov under the leadership of manager and artistic director Cecilia Gasdia.

RECITALS WITH MALCOLM MARTINEAU

Nov 11 – Dec 9: In 2016, Anna became one of only a few artists ever to perform a sold-out solo recital at the Metropolitan Opera. Now the soprano reunites with pianist Malcolm Martineau for a transatlantic recital tour of songs by her compatriots Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Tchaikovsky, with U.S. appearances on the main stages of Lyric Opera of Chicago and Carnegie Hall. European performances include Graz and Prague this fall.

CONCERTS & GALAS WITH YUSIF EYVAZOV

Oct 21 – June 11: The all-star duo makes several notable gala appearances this year including the Richard Tucker Gala at Carnegie Hall, the Verdi Gala at the Bolshoi Theatre, and the Paris Opera’s 350th Anniversary Gala. On the concert stage, Anna and Yusif will present their signature mix of Italian arias and duets in Miami, Lucerne, Frankfurt, and Hamburg’s new Elbphilharmonie.

OTHER CONCERTS

April 19 – May 14: Ann joins two of the world’s most prolific conductors—Daniel Barenboim and Valery Gergiev—in concert this spring. In Berlin, she performs two consecutive nights with the Staatskapelle Berlin and Barenboim. In Vienna, she sings an evening of selected Verdi arias with the Kirov-Orchestra of the Mariinsky under Gergiev’s leadership.

Happy to present my new season!
