On November 6, the International Stanislavsky Prize announced Anna Netrebko as a laureate for the 25th annual prize. Ms. Netrebko was recognized alongside several other notable Russian artists for “outstanding contribution to the development of world theatrical art.” Since its inception in 1995, the International Stanislavsky Prize has been awarded to outstanding actors, directors, teachers, theater critics, artists, playwrights, composers who have made significant contributions to their fields. Ms. Netrebko accepted the award in a ceremony at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow on November 30.
