ANNA WILL OPEN THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON OF THE ARENA DI VERONA

Breaking news from Verona: Anna Netrebko will interpret the titular role in a new production of Verdi’s Aida this summer, staged by Italian director Stefano Poda, alongside Yusif Eyvazov in the role of Radamès. The June 16 performance will mark the opening of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival’s centennial season, in the same masterpiece that marked the beginning of operatic performances in the almost 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheatre.
