Tonight Anna gives her second of four, semi-staged performances of Leonora of Verdi’s Il trovatore at Buenos Aires’ historic Teatro Colón. Along with Yusif Eyvazov, Anna is enrapturing the sold-out audiences during her second major project with the opera company. “Anna Netrebko’s interpretation of Leonora shall remain etched in memory, with her prodigious voice, great musicality, and an amazing flexibility capable of the greatest lightness and the deepest drama, in an interpretative arc that had it all,” writes Clarín. According to La Nación, when Anna finished the Act I cavatina and cabaletta, “A thunderous and extensive ovation broke out, as has not happened for a long time during an opera performance.”
